Trial By Fire – Kristin Scott was following in her father’s footsteps when she became a fire fighter. But she’s about to step into uncharted territory as she strives to be the first woman ever accepted into the elite smokejumpers, the most dangerous form of fire fighting. Now, Kristin has four weeks of rookie training to prove that she can do what no woman in her field has done before. When a treacherous wildfire threatens the lives of her family, it will take all of her might and resolve to defeat this disaster and save her loved ones.

    This movie also shows that, as they say, if there’s a will, there’s a way as Firefighter Scott proves. Much respect to all first responders who put their lives on the line to protect us! These wildfires remind me of the catastrophes that struck Los Angeles and Paradise, CA. Stay safe y’all! Blessings from Pennsylvania ❤❤

  25. Over all a good film, one I would recommend. I just have 3 complaints (spoilers)

    First, I would have liked a bit more action at the end. This film was all about Scott's struggle to become a smoke jumper. There was hardly any fire fighting after training.
    Second, the scene with her sister's family was sort of anti-climatic. She does the fire ring, and then 10 seconds later the chopper comes by and puts out the log, which pretty much invalidated the fire ring. And then they ignore the fact that they are still on the wrong side of a downed tree, with a raging inferno still less than a hundred feet away. It was like they created an excuse to use the fire ring and then just sort of forgot about everything as it was magically solved.
    Third, and this is just personal preference, but I wish there was a bit more after story. This seems to have been a pattern with older films and b-movies, where they have their victory moment and then cut to credits without any aftermath. I guess I just need more closure.

    But regardless, it was still an over all good film that I would recommend.

  29. This series deserves a few acadanies awards. I mean, it is very realistically emotional. I think I've cried more than I care to admit. The love being displayed in this series, and everything in it is a heck of an acting performances. We have lost all this in the last few years. If this show of love and unity doesn't stear the hearts and minds of anyone watching this, there is no way you can call yourselves a human being. It is very clear that humabity needs more of this in their lives, not the drama, but the love, and the forgiving is something we all need more of.

  33. This movie was completely stupid. The chick that was a firefighter was a piece of freaking TRASH.. She would NOT be strong enough to do Jack. Don’t waste your time watching this GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Right off the bat what is this Type 2 Crew doing without their yellow shirts on and no equipment belts.
    Those never come off.
    And their cutting line like that.
    Safety Officer would get them outta there on the spot.
    That's movie B.s. right there.

  37. Has anyone connected the dots between natural disasters and convicts and firemen? This series is a science fiction script but the reality proves how often California gets struck with hardship….from structural loses to property missing to deaths and when you step back to see the bigger picture it looks very suspicious indeed

  38. Does anyone know what kind of plane the smoke jumpers used in this movie? Looks like a Beechcraft King Air.

    I broke my leg one time a few years ago, and I could not figure out the crutches!
