What makes this film memorable is the way it captures life in rural Texas. Of course, since I have never actually /lived/ in rural Texas (or rural anywhere, for that matter) I can’t really say that, but it certainly seems to.
An aging deputy, focused on enforcing the law as an absolute good, investigates a situation that just gets worse as it goes along. Worse in terms of justice, not in terms of the movie.

Cool movie. The third act falls apart a bit but, regardless, it was better than most movies I've seen in the last decade with A-list talent and huge budgets.

doesnt make any sense. never explained how the guy got rich buying up destroyed lands. i though they would have come out the lands had oil on them or something but nothing. was not worth the time to watch

Interesting movie. A bit disjointed with lots of loos ends and sudden reversals.
This was very good for an indie production. The character of The Sprayer was pretty weak and the story had some gaps BUT overall very good, very watchable, kept my attention and I felt I got good value for me time investment. Thank you for this.

I've been living in several East, West coasts and middle Staes, Texas is the one I find interesting. You can find the most grounded, honest, nicest and simple humans there, yet the exact opposites also exist. This movie so succinctly describes this Lone star's unique human personalities while high cotton (living well) can be deceiving! Great movie albeit a rather naive ending, Texas style😋!

Hidden gem. Unlike fast cuted reedited movies smooth less load on eyes slow peace suspense full movie. Just don't bgm is meh other then that dialog pretty good just spraying fella saying men, men many times like nya in anime cat girls does at ending of dialog.
I dislike the police interaction with the sprayer, the security guard grabs him, the sprayer rightfully pushes away in self defence and then is shot at by the guard, SHOT AT, that’s horrific, and the guard should be on trial not the sprayer for assault. Then the sprayer is blamed for the explosion when the guard shot at what was at the time thought to be fertilizer which is still explosive, just makes me angry, if this were real life the sprayer could and should sue for millions

The sprayer should have known who his employer was and what was in the barrels, he would still be held responsible.
