Great moive, I have 3 daughters, and I spoke to the about monthlys as soon as they hit 8 yrs old, we spoke about what it is, why we have them, and the we made a little cute carry bag with everything they need if they get it while at school. When they all got them, they wasn't scared and knew what needed to be done, so I was glad 8 did that when I did, my mother never warned me or told me about it, so I had to learn it all through a magazine called dolly lol

Being a person is hard. We've all got demons to battle. It's refreshing to see a film where human foibles are honestly depicted. I was a young mum and my child had to grow up alongside me, mistakes and all.
"YOU USED TO BE SUCH A NICE KID!" Honestly, WHY do so many parents/guardians REFUSE to remember when THEY were going through their tween and teen years, and were having growing pains, massive hormone surges, increased peer pressure, and overall were having trouble finding it difficult to be kind to people. I started my period when I was 10 and 3 months, which was in the fall of 2003. The thing is that, for me, deep down, that "nice kid," was still there that whole time, but she was having trouble showing herself, because just like with most tweens and teens, I found it hard to deal with adults' seemingly unfair limits and rules.
