I was lucky enough to catch this movie at the video store a few years back. I liked it so much that I actually bought it when it went on sale.
Some of the reviews on here compared this film to Fast and Furious, which doesn’t hold water as far as I’m concerned. Sure there were fast cars and racing. However, Born to Race was done on a lower budget but was as equally enjoyable and stands on its own merits.
Just taking the time here to recommend this film. It was very good by all accounts and pleasurable watch.

Everything was spot on, you can tell they actually know about performance cars and drag racing. Love to see it, good movie too. Hit me right in the feels with the father/son drama.

We need more movies like these in my opinion. I absolutely love this one. I have seen it many times over the years.
Favorite scene is when Frank beats Jimmy at the lights. I love how he gets serious and presses the 3 buttons which im sure do much more than just opening that valve haha. Then procceeds to humiliate Jimmy and carries on with his day. Absolute badass.

This will be a forgotten period in time. They are closing tracks down auto parts stores are closing and the worst thing yet police and the nee cameras. Dont forget you can modify the new cars coming . The only racing that will be done is on a video game. Sad days are coming.
